Association of Sesheke Secondary School Alumni (ASSA)

Our Story

We are former students of Sesheke Secondary School. While our story is significant, our school’s legacy and future remain at the heart of our mission.

Founded in 1966 in Sesheke, Western Province, Zambia, Sesheke Secondary School has been a cornerstone of education for generations. Situated on a hilly part of Sesheke town, it isn’t too far from the stunning views of the Zambezi River and the picturesque Katima Mulilo in Namibia. Our school provided knowledge and fostered a sense of community and belonging among its students.

Our Mission

Driven by a deep-seated commitment to give back to our alma mater, former students of Sesheke Secondary School have united under the banner of the Association of Sesheke Secondary Alumni (ASSA). Registered with the Patents and Companies Registration Agency (PACRA), ASSA stands as a testament to the enduring bond shared by those who once walked the halls of our beloved school.

Empowering Change

At ASSA, we recognize the importance of preserving and enhancing the legacy of Sesheke Secondary School. Our elected executive committee, entrusted with the responsibility of stewarding our organization, works tirelessly to uphold this mandate. With a twelve-month term, our committee is dedicated to fostering initiatives that uplift our alma mater for the benefit of our country.

Central to our vision is the commitment to support the renovation and revitalization of Sesheke Secondary School. We believe every student deserves access to a safe and conducive learning environment. Through fundraising efforts and collaborative partnerships, we strive to make this vision a reality, ensuring that future generations of students benefit from the same transformative educational experience that shaped our lives.
